Behind the Scenes at the Christmas Mini Sessions

You may think that a portrait session is really easy; you just position the children and snap away… If only!  Children do not stay still!  I have put together some photos that I took during the Christmas sessions that show you some of the things parents and I get up to in an attempt to keep children still and smiling during a photo shoot.

Charlie was only going to sit still if he had my lens cap.

I let children explore the room and encourage parents to play games with them.

Sometimes you just have to hang upside down.

Cuddles, kisses and a little bit of thumb sucking is always good!

I often take photos of children’s toys to explain to them what we are going to do.

And finally, I will leave you with this Dad who decided it was time for him to show his son how it should be done – only to be well and truly photobombed by his little boy!
